Bob Fischer, 14, Is Chess Champ
Robert Fischer, brilliant 14-year-old Grandmaster, copped the U.S. Championship Tourney 10½-2½. Sam Reshevsky took second 9½-3½.
Fischer has established a record unmatched by any American player.
He has entered every major tournament that he could schedule in the past season and won them all.
We are prejudiced in favor of chess, but speculation is only natural as to what such genius may have contributed to the wealth of the world had it been channeled into the creative arts.

The annual International Tourney [Hastings, England] had hoped to enter Robert Fischer, but he elected to play in the U.S. championship match instead.
